I" am a British-born expressionist artist who has been living and working in Switzerland since 2007 and now I live in Holzhäusern ZG.

Despite my fear of heights, the principal subjects of my work are large and expressionistic representations of Swiss mountains and landscapes. I trace my influence on art to my late father, who fell in love with Switzerland on a school trip to Luzern from England in the mid-1950s and who became a painter at the end of his short life. I work from my own sketches and impressions. Since my sons have grown up, I now work almost every day on my paintings, collages, and prints. I typically work on several paintings at once to pursue different ideas and expressions of a captured moment and mood. My main influences are the landscapes of Swiss artist Ferdinand Hodler and German Expressionist artists such as Kirchner and Beckmann. These along with the stories by Heinrich Harrer (The White Spider) have moulded my creativity and representation of the Swiss Alps in my own unique style. 

I studied Visual Art at DeMontfort University, UK. . In 2013, I started my own teaching and design business, Simply Paint. In addition, I regularly hold painting workshops with adults and children in the area of Zug and in the mountains, for example, an outdoor workshop for women in the mountains of Lugano, hosted by Swiss Tourism. If time allows for it besides my daily commission work I also create artwork for donations to charity auctions like 4 pawns or room to read. I exhibit my work regularly in Switzerland and in 2016 as well as in 2021 I was selected for the prestigious Royal Academy Summer Exhibition in London".
