Joanne is a British born landscape Artist who graduated from De Montfort University in Visual Arts. In 2007 Joanne moved to Switzerland and her relationship with the Swiss landscape began. Like most of the British explorers that arrived in Switzerland before her, Joanne also found the Swiss Alps capturing her imagination and fell under their majestic spell. Joanne's main influences are the landscapes of Ferdinand Hodler and German expressionist artists such as Kirchner and Beckmann. These along with the book written by Heinrich Harrer (The White  Spider) have influenced her creativity and inspired Joanne to use her own unique style to represent the Swiss mountains and landscape.

In 2013, Joanne founded Simply Paint, a teaching and Art mentoring business, which specialises in supporting new and advanced Artists. Joanne also offers courses for individuals with more therapeutic  needs.

2016, Joanne's Swiss map work was accepted  for the Summer Exhibition at the Royal Academy in London.

Joanne, has sold her work in various countries across the globe.  She continues to be inspired by the landscape and people around her, clearly visible in her paintings, lino-prints and illustrations.
